in the training series. Pre-registration is required for the class with a $25.00 registration fee. You can sign-up at the

26 GREENTREES IS HOSTING A TSUNAMI EVACUATION EXERCISE
- This
exercise will be coordinated with the 11:00 AM test of the emergency siren test which is the last Friday of October.
The scenario for this drill will be to call the Florence Police Chief at the time of the sirens requesting assistance from
patrol cars to both regulate traffic on Rhododendron Drive and to pass through the West side of Greentrees to announce the
need to evacuate to the Recreation Hall on the East side of Rhododendron. Following the evacuation CERT members would enter
the West side doing a sweep for victims or residents unable to evacuate without assistance. They would then call for transport
to assist with these evacuations. The exercise would be followed by a free soup and chili lunch for everyone taking part in
the evacuation drill. If you, as a CERT volunteer, would like to participate in this exercise, please call or email Ken Stone
at 997-9481 or Email at krstone@yahoo.com
